Monthly Newsletter Update
June 2009 |
Thank you for your continued support of StarrMatica! In this issue, you will find information about our K-2 content, end of the year survey, free online webinars, and an interactive content blog. StarrMatica's newsletter will resume August 1st. Enjoy some time to yourself this summer!
During the past school year, StarrMatica added navigation controls to all of our instructional slides that allowed users to fast forward, rewind, stop and play. We also added a state standards search tool so teachers can now find specific resources aligned to state standards.
Over the summer, we will be adding over 1,200 K-2 resources that may be accessed next fall by K-2 teachers free of charge.
Our end of year survey helps us gather information about our customers' experiences with StarrMatica and to plan site upgrades for next year. I know the end of the year gets very hectic, but I would appreciate it if you took two minutes to give us your feedback. The survey will be available online for the next seven days. Thank you very much to everyone who has already completed the survey. We value your comments and your business!
StarrMatica will be conducting free Webinars this summer to help teachers learn ways to integrate online resources into classroom instruction in practical ways. "Interactive Integration Ideas" Webinars will be held June 16th, July 9th, and August 3rd. Times and registration information can be found HERE. Click on the webinar title to read a description.
We invite you to visit the Interactive Content Corner Blog full of advice, tips, and ideas for integrating interactive online content into classroom instruction. Throughout the summer, specific reading and math web activities will be posted to the blog along with practical ideas for integrating those activities into your lesson plans. You will also have the opportunity to share your ideas, ask questions, and give feedback through comments added to each blog post. Come learn and contribute to the discussion!
